Tonight, I hope I won't dream about Phillip and me running from organized zombies and having to climb out of windows to get away from them. Good night.

My Weekend with Chef Johann

Waah?!

John, positively one my bestest best friends, came down from Pittsburgh for a break this week, and I spent Saturday to Sunday with him and his family in Austin. Here are some of the highlights.

John washes like the wind!

The Mrs. and Mr. H

Mr. H and John

Super family

Buddy waits for something to drop

Almost dinner

Seared venison with espanol sauce, served with asparagus and sauteed mushrooms. There's also his homemade bread and brie, and red wine steamed mussels (Not in photo. Darn.) Oh yeah, we had Mrs. H's decadent chocolate cake with icecream for dessert.

Ever-elusive OLOC, the cat (who I've met for the first time) and John

A late-night game of scrabble. John's crowning word, "Quilter" got 78 points. And I lost.

Me with the best singer-guitarist-model-chef in the world

The end.

Don't worry, I haven't told everyone how old you really are ...

Forty-six!

Oops. Well, you look damn good anyway.

1: I'm afraid -- no, I'm terrified.
2: You're probably reading too much into it. Look, he invited you to do that thing, so it's not like he's avoiding you.
3: Then again, he could've invited you because not inviting you could cause questions.
1: o god o god o god
2: You're not helping.
3: But it's true.
2: He wouldn't have you around unless he actually likes you.
3: Or it could be out of habit.
1: ... but it's his love that I'm worried about.
3: Yeah, "like" be damned!
1: *bursts into tears*
2: Honestly, look what you've done.
3: What? She wants to resolve this feeling, right? I'm showing her realism so when things do happen, she'll be ready for it.
2: I hate you.
3: Because I'm right?
2: ...
3: Buck up, kid, crying never did any good.
1: *sniff*
2: ... nor has it done any evil.
3: By the way, have you guys discussed that thing?
1: No ... that's a big part of my angst. He mentioned that he'd consider it once he was more comfortable with his surroundings.
2: It's only been a little while, and I doubt he even remembers it.
3: Psh, "little" is your opinion. He could've used that time to plot exactly how he wants to go about it. Maybe he's already chosen.
1: But I'm not ready!
3: It was your idea.
1: What if I try and ...
3: What, back out? You bitch. Hanging something like that in front of him and taking it away. I bet you didn't even mean it when you suggested it.
2: Of course she meant it!
3: Oh?
2: She feels it's unfair that way it is, and she trusts him.
1: I love him, and that's why I'll take the chance if or when he wants to.
3: You know it could turn bad.
1: It certainly is a possibility.
2: He loves you.
1: ... yes.

6: Then what are you questioning?

Les Moustaches

It's been a while, but we finally have our cable-related stuff back. Internet, I love you.
