Caseyisms for Today

Man-inese/Man-go(h)
When explaining about what I meant by 'pieces'. He explained that he thought I meant 'pieces' (gesturing to genital area), and I asked what the hell kind of language he was using.

That's like scuba diving.
Trying to make fun of Engrish by saying it sounds like Scooby Doo, but failing miserably.

So, finals have been done for while. Lots of stuff has happened, and they've all been pretty negligible changes except one: Grant. We've been going out for, like, a month now, but I never really had the time to make it "official" here. So, yeah. He's my boyfriend. (All mine! Muahahaahaaa!)

So now, I'm home in Spring for the holidays. Irene and I went to the mall yesterday to fight the crowds and find some clothes to wear for tonight's Christmas dinner. We were about to give up on finding anything for me when I found a really cute little black dress at Banana Repulic ... 50% off! I love that store. I'll post pictures tonight.

I love that this house is constantly stocked with all the right foods, but it's let me down a little this morning. They had cleaned out the freezer sometime recently and threw out all of the coffee beans, too. The only coffee I could find in the place was 3 years old hotel coffee. Gross.

I forgot to bring a book and my knitting, and I'm bored to tears.

Hi, you guys. I'd been having a really tough time with everything from school, quitting a job, finding a job, and getting beaten down by The Man, but I'm finally back from one hell of a hiatus ... and now, ladies and gentlereaders, I present to you without further ado:

Mr. N was TOTALLY in Town!

Mr. N and the kids' cars

It's been about 7 years since Mr. N's been in town, much less in the state. The rest of my family's seen him occasionally on trips to Japan, but I hadn't seen him in person since his last visit. He seemed baffled by how all three kids had grown a lot and that we all could drive. He hadn't changed much either, but that's to be expected from an android.

Taking a picture of the food

As is with most times that we have a guest over, my mom made a huge dinner. Mr. N likes to take pictures of food since he doesn't eat all that often. Over the years while training to be a Buddhist monk, he'd learned to photosynthesize the light emitted by computer screens. True story. Though of course, it's much easier to recharge by plugging into the wall.

Mr. N and the kids

Apparently, after he'd gotten back to wherever it is he usually comes from (perhaps some cave in the Himalayas?), Mr. N sent an e-mail that said one of the things he remembered most about visiting our family was how loud the house was at any given time what with all the "How was your trip?" and "Wanna play a game later?" and "Let me refill that for you."

You know what, Mr. N? We'll be loud for you whenever you want. Come visit us again soon!
