Hello from Spring. Spring break's going great and I'll be returning to SA tomorrow. There's been several things happening at my house lately. It turns out my dad's been offered a deal to spend half his time in Japan/Korea and half in the US. It'll give him more insight about the grassroot activity, which is good, since he's the GM of the Japanese and Korean branches of the company (I didn't know that). After some consideration, he accepted and told us just yesterday about his plans. I don't really come home often, but he'll be missed.
My mother and Irene are planning on taking a trip to Japan to see the cherry trees in blossom sometime in April. It's a good break for Irene, whose been stressing over work and school since last year, and it'll be a good chance to get to see family that she hasn't seen and won't be seeing again for a while. Mom's been working hard training for various competitions for tai chi and kung fu, too.
Casey's got a lot going on, what with choir, band, and other school stuff (like grades. Psh, that's not important at all ... ) It seems when he does have time away from UIL, Solo and Ensemble, Region auditions, and piano recitals he's out doing whatever he does with friends. He's enjoying highschool like he should, I guess. I know I used to hate being at home when I was his age.
Everything seems pretty good in book I've finally got a set course for when I'll be graduating: Winter of '09. I worked up enought nerve the other day to tell the parents, and they took it in stride and told me they would support me as long as I was trying. I feel loved.
Speaking of love, Grant and his parents are flying to NY today and spending 4 days vacationing there. He mentioned over winter break to them that though he's been to Japan several times before, he's still never been to New York. I hope he enjoys all the sights and sounds (and food!) the place offers, and I especially hope he enjoys watching Wicked. I'll miss him, but we'll be back into the swing of things by Sunday.
Sunday ... that's right. There's an event called Exotic Easter in San Antonio that the group's planning on attending, including Snowden and Melissa. I'm excited.
Well, that's pretty much all that's going on in Julia's life for now. What's going on in yours?
